Most these cutters will cut square if you can get the cut started square, so I'd imagine it does.

That said were also using the rigid RC cutters, works pretty well

This one cuts square. Made in USA. Model R125. Glass filled nylon. They mostly sell them through irrigation supplies. They must be good cutting all that pipe in the dirt. Replacement blades available. You can actually call the company in Colorado. How novel is that. There is even a patent on this model. I got mine thru Amazon but whoever was selling them is gone. If I needed another one I would still go with this one. Cuts hose nicely, too.

I haven't tried that one but I don't really like ratcheting scissors type of cutter. From the ones I've used the blade starts to deflect and twist as you cut so it comes out of square.

I've been using this one and while occasionally I'll still get a crooked cut, its a vast improvement. it works by piercing the cutter straight into the pipe so there is less deflection on the blade to give a straighter cut.

My reenforced nylon R125 from Dawn is back on Amazon for $35 and change. Sprinkler supply is the seller. I see the replacement blade with integrated gear teeth for rhe ratchet is $27 so it barely pays to repair. My blade is going strong. I have never had issues with the blade going off line under load. If you like expensive imported brands, go for it. The Germans like to build their stuff like a tank when a simpler design will often work just fine. Plastics and composites are replacing metal all over the place. They are cheaper to make and can be just as durable if used properly. This one is sold in Yemen and Australia for irrigation pipe. Not exactly somebody's manicured lawn.
