Knipex and Diamond, any connection?

For some reason I am thinking that Knipex had some connection to Diamond Tool who used to make some of the best pliers known to man, especially small electronics pliers? Am I correct on this?

I did see some NOS euro type Channelocks branded as Diamond but can't say if they were made by Knipex or one of the other euro manufactuers.

I thought I heard that some of the ex Diamond tool people started up Swanstrom. I'm not 100% sure though.

A few years ago Epsteins had som alligator(?) pliers made for Diamond on thier website.

Hello..I work for Knipex and there is no connection between Knipex and the old Doamond company. And yes Diamond did make good tools.
