Those are watered down quality. The joints wobble and the jaws don't meet square. The best Knipex pliers are the ones that come in their individual boxes from the industrial supply.
This is not true. They are exactly the same quality as any other Cobra I've used. The handles are the branding are the only difference. Mine meet squarely, so maybe you got a bad set.

I can't imagine the manufacturer going out of their way to split their production line just so they can cut corners on the ones getting branded as craftsman. I also had a chance to compare the craftsman to the knipex at the store a few weeks ago and they looked and felt exactly the same. The price of the craftsman ones are not even that much cheaper...imo it looks like craftsman just struck a deal with knipex to sell their product under the craftsman name (and you get the in-store lifetime warranty).

Ive lost my pair of 7" cobras, and was looking for a link for my wife to order them for Christmas. Local Menards store was cheaper than Mobile Distributor Supply.

HomeDepot.com price matches other stores like Chads Toolbox - and you can do it all via the web chat. I've ordered a few Knipex from HD as it was cheaper with free shipping vs Chads/other vendors.

I can't imagine it either, that's why I was so surprised about what I observed at the Sears store.
