How are those able to cut 35mm cable as listed in the description anyway? Are they much bigger than they look?

It should be 35mm^2 what is like .263 of an inch conductor or 0.378 of an inch with insulation.

That's a pretty hefty cable, and the description states "diameter". It seems likely they mean 3.5mm diameter.

But at almost $55, this is hardly a hot deal.

It's not talking about the maximum diameter of the cable that may be cut. Just the targeted diameter.

I bought a pair from this guy a while back. Love them! The version with the spring is not available in the USA and is probably why they are selling so quick.

These are a very well rounded tool. They are not specialized unless you call electrical specialized. I use them almost daily and no complaints here. If you do alot of cabling or controls work they are great.

Specialized in the sense of doing a lot of electrical work, doesn't suit my use because I have too many types of wiring chores with vastly different gauges of wire, plus I already own a cheesy GardnerBender all in one type pliers.
