My local Lowes had a lot of these during their change to Southwire last year, and I picked four or five pairs up for $2 a pair - great pliers to have handy in every work area!

Thanks ruff, I was having a tough time justifying it, as shipping and tax added an extra $6, but then I also saw they had a Kre-O Start Trek Enterprise set for my 5 yr old, so it was a no-brainer! I can tell my wife "Hey look honey, the toy came with a set of pliers!" Another plus is that this pair comes with the comfort grips.

Thanks for the woot link. Some of you that have been around will remember when they were blowing the knipex out at Lowes a few years ago. After only every owning and buying klein linesman's -- I bought a set of knipex. I loved them. Earlier this year I lost them (duh!!!!) and have been waiting for the deal to show up on the 9-1/4 New England style.

The ones I lost were the insulated ones, so that still stings a little, but what the heck.

So thanks much! I bought two pair, just in case

Two pair arrived in some folded up cardboard yesterday. Both are nice, and seemingly perfect. Maybe now that I bought new ones, I'll find the ones lost earlier this year.

i just got a set i paid reg price for from amazon... they are really nice.. whats different with the model pictured than most of the others i have - is the cutting edge on these is longer, making them able to cut wider items.. might seem minor but that makes a big difference for me. used them for the first time today. very smooth.
