Knipex Makes Snap-on Pliers???

well i read this some time ago and looked into it today and just by comparing the two from catalogs they look very similar. i think i'll just buy the knipex. used them before and very well pleased.

Yup. No idea if it applies to all of the range, but it certainly does to most. Then the magic SnapOn fairies double the price.

ive been fairly happy with challelock but am looking to upgrade. think i'll go with knipex. what kinda warrenty do they have??

Devil is always in the details, who in practice will handle the warranty, and do you need the original receipt? Is the warranty transferable, or just original purchaser?

How is that an upgrade from Channellock? I have both Knipex and Channellock pliers and doo not consider the Knipex to be a better quality unit than Channellocks.

Anyone who knows me around here also knows that I love my FACOM pliers to a fault. But, if I were to loose everything tomorrow and need new pliers, I would not hesitate to use Channellock. They are high quality, priced right and are made in here in the USA.

Anyone who knows me around here also knows that I love my FACOM pliers to a fault. But, if I were to loose everything tomorrow and need new pliers, I would not hesitate to use Channellock. They are high quality, priced right and are made in here in the USA.

I like Channellock pliers very much especially the grove joint pliers they are famous for, but I have to say that Knipex cutting pliers make Channellock cutters seem like toys in comparison. The Craftsman pro and Klein cutters are also superior to Channellock cutting pliers IMHO.
