Yes agreed i have seen other threads for the plier wrenches but these are pretty small and they look oh so handy IMO. Limitations sure but lots of possibilities.

I have the 10 inch version. I love them. They won't make a Crescent wrench obsolete, but I'd rather carry these in my tool bag than a 12 inch adjustable. You can tighten a 3/4" wedge anchor with a 15/16" nut to 90ft-lbs with the Knipex, so it's very capable. I would definitely say they are more suited for low(er) torque jobs not requiring you to do chin ups on the wrench. If you need two hands and your body weight to move a fastener, get a big adjustable.

The new little one looks great for a small everyday tool bag, but it's a little pricey. It makes sense that the smallest version isn't much cheaper than the medium sizes, but I wish it were.

Just got a set of 12" pliers today, I hope they are as good as everyone says. I'm not much of a wrench turner, but a couple months ago I lucked into a job inspecting trucks & heavy equipment for big line building company. Lots of transmissions with square fill plugs and PTO's crammed on the side, no room.

i got a set of the ten inchers that i have had for months now, and used them once...to remove the metal bushings that hold a dodge 1 ton 2wd steering rack onto the frame of the truck...they worked great at that, cuz i didn't want to mar up the outside of the bushings with my cobras...

otherwise i have a wrench that fits anything i come across

Simply awesome. Need to get a smaller one. No slip if you grip it properly.

I have the knipex brand not sure if it is 10 or 12 inch. I find them great for AN fittings, and other soft finishes that you would not want to mar up. I have put some torque on them and they feel better than the cobras.

I have some craftsman cobras and feel that they flex more than they should. I prefer channel locks better, although the cobras could have some advantages in tight spots, but when it comes to big stuff the cobra jaw are not deep enough.
