I've seen worn out Knipex Cobras, but not pliers wrenches. Are the generally a "forever" tool due to not having teeth?

Pretty much. Like any tool having teeth Cobras will wear out eventually if you're gorilla enough with them just like Vice-Grips. Pliers wrenches are the equivalent of adjustable wrenches just ten times better. I've never come close to wearing out an adjustable wrench and I doubt I'll ever wear out a Pliers Wrench either.

Yep. Kept reasonably clean and dry between usage, a Pliers-wrench should outlast you, your children, and your grandchildren. Might have to replace the handle covering periodically though if used heavily

I've got a little bit of damage to the flats on my 125mm pair from gorilla-gripping them, but my 10" are much older and still look like new (when clean).

The little ones have much narrower jaws, so might be a bit more susceptible to minor wear.
