Save $6.66.

hehe.

I can never understand why that set is so expensive when you can buy the tools separately for about $155. Surely the tray isn't worth $65+.

Anyways, that is a good price.

The first picture shows the smooth jaw nickle plated version, the next two show the standard black oxide version (looks like the cobra). I wonder which one you will get?

I've got that set and I use the 7" a TON, the 10" occasionally, and the 12" never. If I had it to do over again I would buy two of the 7" and one of the 10".

What is sow special about these to cost way more then the cobra? If they where locking like vice grips I could see the price difference.

It seems everywhere I look, the 6" and 7" Knipex pliers wrenches cost more than the 10" pliers.

For example, Amazon:

6" currently $48.02 link
7" currently $47.99 link
10" currently $42.49 link

Any idea why?

Only thing I can think of is the 10" gets purchased more. More volume, lower price. Dunno...

The price on these fluctuates at different times with huge swings. For example I paid the following for my sets:

$28 in May 2012 for the comfort grip 150mm Ty wrap version link
$27 in May 2012 for the 300mm link
