What does "SB" stand for. There appears to be a lot of their tools that are identical by picture, English description, and model numbers with the exception that some have "SB" added to their model number.

"SB" means the type of package. "SB" = Selbstbedienungsverpackung = "self-service package" usually a cardboard or blister package.

I work for Knipex

Monte is correct...

SB is for Point of Purchase packaging and is usually in several languages and has lot of pictures.
SBA is for Point of Purchase packaging but is in English, Spanish and French for North America
BK is for Point of Purchase in several languages
BKA is for Point of Purchase in English, Spanish and French

If there is none of these suffixes the tool is usually packed in an individual box or a plastic bag
