We in Europe usually start here: If you don't plan to work on electrical stuff get the standard grips (thin red coating) which is 30% cheaper. Then a 10" Cobra and a 10" pliers wrench.
this was my start. the needle nose are my favourite.
I have multiple of every size pliers wrench, almost always the smallest one you can use is going to be the best for the situation. there are a lot of times im doing something, i think 'these aren't going to get it done' and they are the best tool for it. there are also some situations i grab them and they are a terrible choice. but they are always worth having at least one with me.
the mini bolt cutters and the cable cutters are the best in their respective category i have used. I like their dykes, but the Kleins are better in my hand. i don't really like any of the 'electrician scissors' i have used, but i dislike my Knipex least. I keep them in my bag with my wire fishing stuff they have a nice hard holster with a clip. my view on scissors is maybe not as helpful to you, im a lefty, but they are easy enough for me to use lefty which is generally a positive mark for scissors quality regardless of your handedness.
i like their auto wire stripper, but there are a lot just like it. the quality of the blades is the best aspect, you may be able to use their cartridge in other strippers. i've had mine for a few years and haven't need to replace anyway.
if you get any of their sets bundled with screwdrivers, the ones that say Knipex are made by Witte, but many also now bundled with Wera, geared towards electricians mostly.
also i know it's not Knipex but get yourself a set of the Felo pistol grip needle nose also. Or at least an Orbis (which is a Knipex brand) version of them. Those things are great, i keep a pair of the Orbis in my every day bag.
