Lotsa Knipex fans here. I have both the flat and tooth cobra pliers, diags, dykes, needlenose, circlips, etc.

In their lineup for wire strippers, whether it be 10-14AWG, or 14, 16 20 AWG, not a fan of any of their strippers in their lineup....Wire strippers are throwaway tools for me - once they don't cut right, I toss em and get a fresh pair. My go to pair for the last 15 years - Ideal Reflex Series.

Let me hear it. Am I missing out in the Knipex.
I tried their needlenose with the built in wire stripping holes and just did not like the *feel* of it

Have you ever tried the strip masters from Ideal? Usually those or the reflex are the top recommended. And with replacement blades if you do happen to wear them out, you can replace the blades instead of the entire stripper. I think Kinpex makes a stripper very similar to the stripmaster. :dunno:

Stripmasters for me, is when I need to make a precise strip and have the room to use it.

Too bulky for most *grunt stuff* or tight tolerances. Too tight to even using a stripmaster on stranded wire in portable cord setups , as the proper wire length is SHORT to begin with off the insulation for such. Reflex T's are my go to forevvvver.

Not a fan of those type of strippers. The insulation on wires varies and the control of those strippers is limited. I've used them. It's great when it works...
