Just stopped by to say "Hi"....enjoying the life of an oldie and still turning up the wick in the shop now and then to make some pretties. All of you take care...I'll keep poking my head in here now and then to check on you. :)

Very nice. What steels did you use? I really like that pattern.

Lovely work as usual.

I notice some of the blades seem to have a lot of blue in them.
Is that just a camera thing or are they actually that colour?

If they are actually blue, how do you achieve that?
It looks far more than just bluing to me.

And thanks for posting your work here , I admire it greatly.

I would have to say that you probably are the only one making knives. I have every intention of joining you, but have a long way to go before I can make my first real knife.

It would appear so at this moment.

I'm still on the hunt for an anvil or suitable ASO as I have built a forge already. Just using it for bending and upsetting large pieces of steel until I have something to beat on.

No one can match your level of craftsmanship. I’m glad you drop in to share.

I agree. I’m glad Junebuggy started this thread 4 1/2 years ago. The words and pictures contributed by him give all aspiring knife makers and even blacksmiths something to aim for.
