Comparing the Ko-ken 2725Z & SnapOn T936 1-4" ratchets...

I don't own any Dual 80 (72) SnapOn to compare with, but after looking at the Ko-ken, I may buy those for 1/4" instead.

Overall, the Ko-ken is much smaller and lighter than the T936 Snappy.

Head Thickness: Ko-ken 10 mm (vs. 14 mm for the Snappy)

Head Width: Ko-ken 20.3 mm (vs. 23.3 mm for the Snappy)

Have you looked at the new Nepros ratchets on their website?

1) They seem to be on sale ($50 to $70) depending on the length.
2) Size wise it measures at 22mm width and 11mm thickness.
3) Its Nepros... I literally just unboxed my 3/8" ratchet from them a couple minutes ago and WOW. Its so nice. Its also -tiny-. They use the same body for the 3/8" as they do for the 1/4". The anvil is just so massive compared to the ratchet itself.

The Snap-On 1/4 ratchets are extremely common on Ebay and there are often deals on new ones. There's also a Bahco (Snap-On industrial) that has the same innards as the the Snap-On T72. The body and handle are very basic. Smooth mechanism. --> https://www.ebay.com/itm/153335056969

I have one 3/8 Ko-Ken ratchet but not Z-eal and not 1/4.

Small size is what the Ko-ken Z-series is all about. Except for minimum swing arc. With 36 teeth, a head that tapers later to the shaft, and a fat shaft and handle, that ratchet will need appreciably more room to swing than a Snap-on T72.

I suppose the back-drag is far lower on the Ko-ken than on the old Snap-on?

I wonder how it would stack up to the T72. I have a few long handle Dual 80 1/4" ratchets, and really like the thought of a really short handled 1/4" ratchet.
