I just purchased the Kobalt 27" SS tool chest is is built like a tank! the SS is non-metallic (304 I think) the casters are rated for 600lbs each. It also has recessed handles so you can put it flush against other tool chest or a wall. The ball-bearing slides are 100lb rated unlike most of the other chests on the market.

toolguy1- I had asked about these boxes in a previous post on this thread some time ago but nobody at that time had seen them yet. As time goes by let us know how it holds up. Running out of space and was looking at the SS Costco and the SS Kobalt.

is it 100 percent ss, or just the exterior?
Double walled inside wall looks like a heavy Galv. Draws are powder coated on the inside the ballbearing slides are rated at 99lbs and the bottom drawer has 2 per sideso that puts it at almost 200lbs. the casters are rated for 600Lbs each! the wields look exceptionally clean! Drawerliners are heavey duty.
it took less than 15 minutes to get it out of the box and the casters on no other assembly required the nuts for the casters are wielded in.
