Resistance is futile! I'm going to have to pick one of these up.
For me, this does not work if I use the same email before. I believe their system filtered out already submitted email. I have tried same email and it does not work. I also ran out of email to use.

How about creating another email account? Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, plenty to choose from.
How can you "ran out of email to use"? There are an infinite number of free email providers.

Here's a nice video on how a ratchet is made.
I went to my local se Michigan Lowes to pick up the spark plug set. They showed 17 in stock and 20 at another store.
No one could actually find the set, so i had to settle with the store manager selling the ratchet alone for 15.00... I didn't need the other bits, so it was fine with me.
I like the feel so far. I've never used flex head ratchets so I'm looking forward to trying.

If the ratchet head ever fails, I will unbolt it and swap it out for warranty.. If the handle breaks, oh well

You need to check Lawn & Garden as well as Automotive, if they're not near the other Kobalt stuff. Our store has them in the auto isle in a cardboard box display sitting on the floor. If they show them in stock, they probably do have them.

I just took mine apart, and lubed with some regular wheel bearing grease.
What a difference, really smooth. Maybe my favorite ratchet! I have a Brand new Snap on FL80............I think I am going to sell it........

I lubed mine with lithium spray. I loved it so much that I bought a two more sets. One to keep in the truck and another as a spare. I still have to lube the 2 new ratchets.
Lawn and garden was empty. I'm not sure they have an auto section but will check next time I'm there

I picked up this nice little set yesterday. For a little over $17, how could you go wrong? That said, it's the same ratchet as the Harbor Freight flex ratchet. That's not a bad thing! I've also included my Titan ratchet for comparison.
The Titan is on the left, the HF (which I converted to a stubby) and the Kobalt on the right. Also, though it's not shown in the pictures, the heads of the Kobalt/HF are exactly the same size.

I just took out the center section to make the stubby flex head. $12.99 for a stubby flexhead is a pretty good deal in it's own right.

As far as i know HF dosent have a flex head ratchet.

Yep, and I am told you can even make a long flex head using a breaker bar from HF. Haven't tried that yet, and truthfully I likely won't. Don't really see the need for such a thing.

Does anyone see a disadvantage to the double flex on the HF ratchet? With coupon it's like $10. I just bought the Lowes one but haven't opened the package yet. I kept seeing this thread at the top of the Hot Deals forum and kept ignoring it because Kobalt.
Now after reading all 10 pages, I'm headed to Lowes after work.

I returned the kobalt after I got the KD USA RH quick release flex for $13.08. Plus I don't need all those extra extension/sockets to clutter the tool box which is already small and full. Fortunate for me, i did not open the Kobalt and still under 30 days return window.

Okay, just picked it up earlier tonight. This ratchet is MUCH better than I was expecting. It blows the old $25 Duralast flex ratchet away, and they're not even in the same league.
Love the mechanism and fine teeth. Check your torx screws, mine were very loose. I might buy another just because!

Picked up 3 of them at the Lowe's in Allen Park ,MI yesterday.
Took about an hour to find them with help from the store personnel.
Nobody was quite sure where they were although the computer showed 13 units in stock.Ended up being in the aisle with the trailer hitch stuff,in a cardboard promo stand.

Take a good look at the selector switch between the two. There is a difference.
These are also packaged in spark plug repair kit. $17.97 everyday. 10% everyday if you are a vet. I work at Lowes in Carbondale Il. We have lots of them. If store is out, they can ship from one store to another. We have a side stack full of them.

picked one up. they were located on a shelf support instead of having their own place with the other sockets and ratchets. just have to look around for the yellow tag.

Looked for 30 minutes with no luck. Sk ratchet it is.
I hate having import tools anyways. A ratchet here, a socket set there, and next thing you know its a toolbox full of import tools of questionable quality.

In this particular instance the HF and the Kobalt are the same, or at least the parts are interchangable. The Titan is slightly different as it doesn't require a screw for the pawl.
