They've been $4.98 for the longest time. Currently in the Lowes deals 2014 thread

Haven't been available at any of our local stores for a while....I've been assuming that they were replaced by other products. Maybe I'll have to look again - I have all I need, but I had just told a few friends about them when I discovered they were nowhere to be found in the stores!

They indeed have been replaced by another, way more expensive product. When I was looking for them all I could find was the new item, I ended up seeing them 15 feet in the air on the racks, in a cardboard box.

Here is their "new" product that replaced them.

Also, if anyone is dying to get their hands on these and can't find them the 4 surrounding stores in my area have a combined total of about 25 packs of each. Could arrange some shipping.

I picked these up a couple weeks ago. I passed over them for awhile, but my store got down to one SAE set left and marked it down to $1. I couldn't pass that up!

Of course, I had to then go to another store and get the matching metric set for $4.98. For $6 invested, I can't complain! They seem like good quality and the price can't be beat!

I got suckered into these because I didn't want to spend money on hansen and the hf ones seem to slide around but in my top tray its haard to read the socket sizes down on the bottom. Even the hf ones are lbeled on the top. Bout want to start over but im invested now with 4 sets of each

It took about an hour of my time, and a call to the manager, but I picked up 12 sets of these today. They couldn't find them in the store, I suppose they had to have them transferred in.

You know what they did...they replaced these with a "fractional" mixed set of these trays (sae and metric), pricey too...22 bucks. Just saw them today. They're black instead of the blue or red. I didn't open the box but assume they just printed sae sizes on one side and metric on the other.

Just "paint" the sizes to see up top with nail polish. I use this on torx drivers that don't have the size stamped on the top, should work good.

Dollar store nail polish is fine.

Original price was $25/per 3... before tax, ask me how I know...

Ummm... here's no where to paint "up top"

I mean between the socket holders "vertically" (between the two sockets on the holders). There should be a bit of a gap between two sockets on the same row (vertical), might not be that much of a gap horizontal. You could just put masking tape down the middle and write the sizes with a pen.

I am so lost by what you Are trying to explain to me, its unreal. Anyways, there's no gap anywhere to use masking tape that'd be big enough to be usable to write socket sizes on.
