for the price you cannot beat it but its not pro quality nor is priced like a pro machine. for home use it will last a long time IMO. as long as you don't run the machine like in a tire shop i would not worry too much. again for the price it is hard to say no if you are looking for a compressor

It's oiled. If I didn't pick up my 60gal Morgan for 279 I would be all over this for limited use.

New to the site. Been lurking for months but joined for this post. After a week of phone calls back and forth to my lowes they are honoring this price for me and letting me use a 10% coupon on top of that. They had to order it and said it should be in Monday.

They didn't want to at first because one is 4.5hp and the other is 5hp and they said it wasn't the same item. The manager said give him a few days. They called on friday and said we have one coming in on monday for you. Not sure what hp one though. Didn't want to ask too many questions as I'm thankful to atleast be getting it at that price.

I had a printout from the original Connecticut store. At first they said no but after speaking with the manager he said give him a few days then he called friday and said we have one coming in for you monday. I'm about to go pick it up. He was real nice about it though from the start. I wasn't trying to put pressure on them, I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. I was honestly not expecting to get it.

I know, the last time I asked a lowes manager about matching a close out price, she was real bitchy and acted like I was trying to rob her.

Is the original Connecticut store still showing $339.00?
Is there a link at the OP?
Would not hurt to ask.
Don't think I'd get it though.

Store #1618 is still showing that price, but it's out of stock. I never ended up buying one.. Decided I need to start finishing stuff before I buy more tools. We'll see how long that lasts..

The one in the Connecticut store was a 4.5hp the one they gave me is a 5.0hp. The posts going around about the Knipex linesmans, they are 19.** here but before I left I found a store in eastern PA that had them for 5.**. I printed it out and when i payed for the compressor they price matched the pliers also. So pliers and compressor 329.** out the door. One thing though, I do spend a lot of money in that store on home improvements and tools and such so that may have played a part in them just doing it for me.

In case this helps anyone. My local Lowes said that they will only pricematch a clearance price if they have it on clearance. I went to a local store that had it for $594 on clearance and used "posaune's" tip above that another local store had it for $339 and they did the price match.

They also honored a %10 coupon so it came out to $305! It is not the exact compressor I wanted but I could not pass it up for that cheap.

Managed to get a local store here in NC to pricematch the Weymouth, MA store from normal $849 price to $339 and took 5% off for using my Lowes credit card on top. So it is possible. Took three stores to get a place that both had it and an agreeable manager. FYI the web inventory count was showing 0 in stock at two stores that actually had one.

I've been looking for a compressor for a couple months now. I've been planning on getting an IR, but have been waiting for a sale. I saw this thread yesterday and figured I had to give it a shot. I printed out the add from the MA Lowes, and took it into my local Lowes. They priced matched it, no questions asked! I'm pumped I didn't have to spend $1,000+ for a nice compressor. I should be able to do everything I need for years to come. Can't beat it for $340.

Find the compressor on Lowes.com, then change your store to Weymouth, MA. That should change the price to $339. Just print that out and take it to your local Lowes and ask them to price match.

Anybody know of any other locations that are still showing the $339 price online?
