Has anyone seen this? Double Drive and the handles extends turning it into a breaker bar..by looking at this I would think the head would explode on some of the stuff I do with my snappy ones..

seems like a neat concept, but will the gears around the head hold up to any real use?

I have one, once I figured out how to use it effectively I kind of like it. I think it works great when your trying to screw in a long winded bolt.

Oh and the extension just gives it an extension, it doesn't turn it into a breaker bar. You should never use a ratchet as a braker bar, two different tools.

I disagree owning good ratchets for the most part eliminates the need for a breaker bar. I can't wait for the new Snap-on FLL80 3/8 drive ratchet with an 18" handle :pimpflash

and I disagree - no matter how lazy I am at times, I never use my ratchets as breaker bars - that's like using a screwdriver as a cold chisel... :lol_hitti

Exactly, your almost asking to either get hurt and break something.

And as far as the ratchet goes, it's kinda neat but it's not something I"d use everyday. But I don't think it's as gimmicky as a lot of things are out there. I can actually see someone using it regularly if they deal with a lot of long bolts.

I've been waiting for Stuey's review on it. The double drive screwdriver seemed interesting but, more seasonal gimmick than anything. I worked with a guy this summer that loved the idea of the double drive screwdriver and he was a mechanic for 20+ years so I suppose it probably is a decent tool, but ya don't know until you've really given them a fair shake.
