Kobalt=Gearwernch??

Can anybody tell me if the gearwrench vortex and Kobalt pass thru are the same drive. I was looking at the 3/8 Gearwrench Vortex XL locking flex ratchet and found out I can get a Kobalt Pass thru lock Ratchet and about 30 bit sockets for about the same money. Would like to know if its the same drive

Yes, they are. I have the set you looked at and the regular Gearwrench Vortex set from Sears and everything is interchangeable.

49 dollars with 20 bits, Torx, metric hex and SAE hex. I like the Kobalt ratchet better

Another thing with this set is that the bit sockets can be used on a regular square drive ratchet as well.

I picked up both Kobalt and gearwench sets lately. Both were on sale for 50%. (was going to return the Kobalt set as the socket sizes were printed very small and hard to read. However, the Kobalt ratchet handle feels a lot more comfortable that GW Vortex. Guess I am going to keep both)
