Posted this in the Lowes thread a few days ago. Couple people said they weren't any good. But, I picked them up and have used them a few times. I like them so far. No complaints.

They've been this price for at least a month.

I bought a set, and only after read the reviews. They aren't bad enough to return, but they aren't good enough to recommend.

The finish is much nicer than the orange-handle Harbor Freight pair I compared them with, but they aren't as good of a tool. The tongue is sloppy in the groove, getting worse with larger opening grooves. When they are in the largest size groove they jam and are very close to coming out of the groove. Breaking the peen on the adjustment screw and tightening won't fix this problem. Machining might fix it, but then you lose the nice finish.

thats just for starters. my had glue all over the junk plastic handles. im sure if they fell one or two times they would have cracked. the teeth didnt line up when closed.

i wouldnt have took them even if they where handing them out for free.

Sorry if this a repost. I guess they're junk. I thought it was a good deal, the set is cheaper than one tool. The new style set was a few bucks cheaper than the old style set sitting beside it, there could be a reason for that...

I'll keep mine, exchange 'em if they break. I honestly don't use groove joint pliers very much so these were a match for my budget and expected use.
