Those reviews are silly

1) Competitor for sure
2) Angry old man can't grasp that they sell through dealers
3) Truly happy customer 5 stars OR the company trying to get their rating up

Ill stick with real world happy customers that have this machine.

As for the Saylor-Beall VT-735-80 for 2259.00 yeah I would have bought that HOWEVER that reseller is bait and switching, they upcharge for the preinstalled mag starter and aftercooler bringing it to 3k. The 7.5hp C-aire I bought, slower pump speed, more CFM and way more features. For my money and they way I will use this machine its a moot point.

That is what 5 HP single phase motors draw.

Full load amperage for 5 hp is usually closer to 28 amps. Many of the cheaper compressors will have 5hp in big letters on the tank but when you check the motor nameplate it will have spl. not truly 5 hp.
