I received one as a Christmas gift this past December. The ratcheting mechanism is quite nice, it feels close to the J.H. Williams ratcheting t-handles. I'm not a fan of the shank length though; I wish it was an inch and a half longer. The handle grips could also use a redesign as well (Instead of having stripes of the rubberized grip they should have wrapped the entire section with it.)

For $5 with the coupon, I would go for it.

Picked up two tonight and they do seem very nice. Very heavy if that counts. Of course no one knew anything about the coupon and the cashier did not know who Jimmy Johnson was.

I was just at Lowes about 2 hours ago (I forgot the Coupon) and the manager could not find this online. They looked pretty good. I did notice that the rubber can slide off the handle when you remove the back cap.

Gonna pick it up tomorrow with the coupon.

I have a few of those, and one out of the 4 or 5 I have actually has a nice ratchet mechanism to it, the others are so-so. If you need stocking stuffers, they are fine, or something to keep in the glove box. I got the triple pack that included the ratchet driver, the standard one that you can flip the shaft in and get a different tip, and the precision bit holder for 4 dollars a few months ago. They had a table full of them at clearance, so I picked up a few for gifts.

I've had mine for several months now, it is heavy and made out of aluminum. there is an extention inside to add to the driver. The rear cap seems to have a "shallow" thread, may be easy to crossthread. And the ratchet setting is too easy to change by accident, just from normal use.
But, for the money it works OK.
I had bought a set that came with this one, a standard non ratcheting driver and a mini driver, all for $12.

Got one tonight, thanks! They had trouble with the coupon...ended up manually adjusting the price since they couldn't get the computer to take it.

If you go for one, check to make sure it has all of the bits -- several I saw were missing 1 or 2 bits.

These have unique coupon codes, which explains why some may have problems with it.

I considered buying one of these back when it was $12 for the set of three but then decided not to.

Last time Lowes ran one of these promos for a free non-ratcheting 6-in-1, I wasted a bit of time trying to get in on the deal.

I don't really want to spend a lot of time trying to save $5 on a tool I wouldn't ever have thought of buying otherwise. If I'm there, I'll likely pick one up.

got mine last night. Sifted all through the ones in the display and found one that was decent. All the bits and was somewhat smooth. Of course, nobody knew about the promotion & I felt like I was getting waterboarded by the cashier about where I got the coupon from....

I picked up mine today.... As stated before, the coupon did not work. The manager came over and said someone else was in today with this coupon. The manager simply rung up the sale by herself and I was out the door. Spent $5.55 total... Not too bad.


I must say that it feels nice, but I checked every one they had and all had nicks, cuts, or scratches on them. One was even already cross threaded in the store. I grabbed the best one I could find, checked the ratcheting switch (There was a lot of difference between some in the same box) and finally checked for all the bits...Yup, got them all. I Think this tool is going to stay in my truck with me.

Yeah, I wasn't impressed with the one left in the box. Bits missing, cap cross threaded. I decided it wasn't worth the hassle to get a screwdriver I'd probably not want to use.
