Yes, they are not really organizers. They should be called "Socket Deficiency Alert Devices".

That 1/2" drive metric rack is the worst. I can/have filled just about filled every other peg in the box but the right side of that thing is laughing at me. I have impact sockets that would go there but that feels like cheating. Gonna have to do something about those holes...

Anyone have impact sockets on these bad boys? Is there enough space available?

I'd wait for others to chime in, but I think there is plenty of space. Not quite as much as the HF ones, but still plenty. I was debating on putting some 1/2" industrial thick sockets of my grandfathers on one (from the 40's or 50's), and while they fit fine, I decided to use rails for them. They are significantly wider than my SK and Proto 1/2 inch.

I did not check the 3/8.

I am sure someone else knows, but I have a set of new 1/2 impacts in the mail as we speak. If no one else has answered by the time they have arrived, I will post a picture for you!

This may or may not help you with the impact question. Mine are Stanley sockets 3/8-in, 7/16-in, 1/2-in, 9/16-in, 5/8-in, 11/16-in, 3/4-in, 13/16-in, 7/8-in, 15/16-in, 1-in and 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 21, 22, 24, and a 27mm. They aren't in the proper spots because there are sizes that aren't in the kits I bought and didn't like the open spaces so you'll have to use your imagination some.

I picked up four sets today coupled with a 10% off coupon I found on this site for $19.53 including tax. I love this website!
Makes me realize I am missing a few sockets, although I have several 3/8" and 1/2" drive sockets that exceed the largest value listed on the organizers.

I have CM deep/SO shallow on my standard sizes and SK deep/Mac shallow on my metric and they fit fine. I have height issues that wont let me place them all on my trays but width wise they are OK. On the CM they are tight but the CM are meaty sockets.

I also have 3/8 impacts on them and the are GTG

Picked up two sets. Good deal for the price. Feel weird about Kobalt logo since my box and tools are all Craftsman. Not knocking Kobalt. OCD, I guess. Lol. But now my stuff is organized so much better.

Same here
I have only three things in my tool box that are not craftsman, the box itself is craftsman.
Long handle Pittsburg wrench, Snap on flex head fine tooth ratchet, kobalt socket trays.

I'm very happy with my Lowes organizers. The colors are really sharp!

Do you really have that many sockets???:dunno:

No, I had 3 set in my cart. 2 for me and 1 for my buddy. then I thought about it and added the 4th just in case my dad wanted a set.

I couldnt even fill up 1 full set but now I have an extra set just for impacts.

I'm afraid now I'm going to go down to Sears with a list of sockets I don't have to try to fill the trays. I don't need more tools at the moment. But dammit if my OCD is going leave that many open spots on the organizers. Lol.

I went yesterday and did the same thing. Their socket sets are on sell this week and for not bad prices. Most of the ones I looked at yesterday were USA as well.

I went to my home town store. I pretty much refuse to go to the mall store. I got the 1/2 SAE 9 or 10 piece set for $24 and a 12 piece deep impact socket set for $44 and a bunch of singles and like 7 open stock craftsman ratcheting wrenches that were half price.

$108 out the door.

I've been buying the 3 sets for 4.95. I think they are different though.

Different how? The SAE link in the first post has the same part number at ones selling for $4.95: 393408

I picked up 2 SAEs and 2 metrics tonight, one for chrome one for impacts. I noticed a LOT of people reselling these on eBay doubling their money and then some. One guy sold a SAE & metric set to two people for $59.95. :eyecrazy:

Bought a metric and SAE set yesterday. The Lowes I went to actually had them in a end cap display type box.

And I hate all of you for the empty pegs I now have.

Only by filling them all will you find true happiness.

Yeah, but then you need to upgrade the ones you have. Out go the Cmans to another Lowe's rack in another drawer, in come the Snap Ons.

True tool happiness is unachievable, but I'll still try

Happens all the time...with various items...and people buy them.

I have 3 sets of each now. Had one pair and liked them enough to but two more pairs and finish putting my sockets on them. They are 4.98 or whatever by me.
