Kobalt USA impact sockets

I picked these up at Lowes the other day.They're kobalt made in USA 3/8 metric impact sockets.They were clearanced $8.97.I looked to see if the had any others but no luck.Are these Williams made sockets.I was also looking at the new impact sockets at Lowes and HF.The look very similar and even have the some style packaging.Is there any difference between the two besides price and the name on them?

Those are danaher made. It has been 6+ years since williams made tools were carried at lowes.

I do not think they are Williams sockets, Williams sockets came in a box. Danaher made most of Lowes sockets after Williams and the packaging looks identical to my non-impact danaher made sockets. Still really good sockets, especially for the price.

You must have a low volume Lowes. Mine clearanced and sold through those last spring.

The store I got these from is actually one of the busiest Lowes stores in the Chattanooga area.I wad surprised to see they still had them.

No they don't.The 3/8 set I got was the only USA made impact sockets they had.

the local lowes by me had a set of chrome 3/8ths drive shallows USA danaher made in the clearance isle also for a similar price. the way they have their clearance isle set up, i am sure they will be their for a long time, everything is cluttered and piled up and sorted very shoddily. im not sure how i spotted the socket set even.

The williams made Kobalt impact sockets came in a boxed set just like this one on sale at Cripe distributing. Great sockets.

I snagged that same set but SAE for $5 last fall. Got a 13mm combo and a 1/2" drive 12 point shallow set for cheap too. It was all the Saginaw, MI store had left.

I haven't been back since, LOWES loss.
