Not thin enough for me! And before anyone pipes off about warranty if they break, I've got $250k worth of tools and equipment between two shops I work at and could give a rip less about a $15 socket. :)

Needed a 3/8" drive 1/2" thin wall impact socket for quite some time for stator support bolts on a Chrysler torqueflite. Was instead using a 1/4" drive socket with a 3/8" adapter for decades. It is a low torque application (15 ft/lb) so I think I'll be okay. They fit great now.

Nice. But for that low of a torque, I would've just used 3/8 drive chrome sockets.

True, but I'm a stickler for impact sockets on an impact and chrome sockets on a hand ratchet. Plus the 3/8" drive chrome sockets I had (snap-on, sk & USA made craftsman) didn't fit either--hence why I used a 1/4" drive socket previously. 🙂

My blood pressure goes up when I see someone use a chrome socket on an impact.
