$210 USD for everything shipped, prices change with the exchange rate. So it's best to ask Frank for an exact quote. I compared all the item prices from Frank to Japanese online retailers, and Frank was generally equal to or better. The real savings come from the shipping rate, as he can use USPS flat rate.

$138 for the ratchet set, $38 for the spinner, and $32 for the screwdrivers.

Koken is MUCH more widely available in NZ/Australia and from what I can see, Europe and the US - the Nepros looks very nice though! They get great reviews too... the pics of them I've seen on GJ, they're almost too pretty to be used...

KTC and Koken are both great tools makers. I prefer Koken. the steel is very good and the plating will never peel. I used them since the early 90's and to this day I have never had a problem....I have many makes in my box, but I favor their sockets over anything.

Actually I'd like to buy an IPS plastic jaws plier (WL-270S) from a place that doesn't ask a kidney in shipping fees to Belgium, do you sell such tools?

I'm still waiting for the Zeal line to be sold individually....hoping for that day to come. I think their ratchet is going to be buttery smooth, with a really low reverse drag.

I primarily sell Koken, but my distributor carries many brands. Let me check into the for you. The Koken company set me up to sell their product through their primary vendor and dont want to veer off course too fast. Frank

Well the quality of pics can't compare to yours, but....

All the tools were sealed in original packaging, and well packed. The Koken ratchet has very very light resistance when ratcheting. A nice handle that is like a very very hard rubberized plastic. The sockets are very shallow, allowing access in tight spaces, and the universal is probably the best design I've ever seen.

Nepros vs KTC ratchets....


Finish- Nepros wins....the Koken falls in between KTC and Nepros in terms of appearance. More towards the Nepros end of things though.

Ratcheting action- Koken wins, very little resistance, both 36 tooth designs.
Koken non quick release (which I prefer).

Handle- Nepros wins, due to a slicker more durable design, but only by a hair. I like fat handle ratchets.

Durability- Tell you guys in a couple of years....

Overall- Koken, because I like non quick release ratchets, due to the fact they hold the socket with less play.

Koken spinning T-Handle- Simply awesome best T-Handle ever....

Vessel Impactas- Haven't used them yet, but could bail you out in a tight spot that needs and impact driver. Quality, innovative design by a reputable screwdriver manufacture.

I picked these up on my way to work (600 miles from home), so it's gonna be later rather than sooner getting some side by side Nepros vs. Koken socket picks.

Yup, they are very shallow, and the tolerances are suppose to be tighter. Follow/save the link to the English PDF for a better explanation.

Thanks for writing your intial thoughts on the Ko-ken products.

I've been curious about the ratchet, particularly about their low-drag back stroke.
And I didn't know there was an English link their Zeal stuff...sadly though, there's only minimal text content.....they skimped out quite a bit compared to the Japanese version, and that's not good for anybody out there who really wants to know all the products features/details.


[Edit] I snagged a few pictures the other day of the Impacta that I have, and here's one. It's so convenient--a PH2 that's ready to go. Works as advertised.
