Pardon my ignorance, but is this a legit brand? In other words, would it hold up to use for say a road box/travel box?

I can't say I m qualified to answer effectively but for $25 or so, it wouldn't break the bank to try it. If anything, the ratchet would be the weakest part I would guess

Its not really amazons fault, they are just grabbing what the manufacturers put out as MSRP. Id assume everyone questions MSRP prices in this day and age.

For $22, im gambling. I dont need the ratchet, but i do need some 1/2 drive sockets.

I've used thier 3/8 drive sockets in a pro setting for years. Never had any issues with them. Bought them in the Sears bargin bin for $14. Never thought they would last this long.

KD TOOLS or KR tools?

Just seeing if your wires were crossed as mine were when I first read this.

Whoops... Is KD the brand that is mentioned on here? Since joining this site I've learned of several tool manufacturers that I previously didn't even know existed. So... if these are garbage I apologize.

Haha, I don't think their name being KR tools is any coincidence that it is similar to KD tools.

KD tools is part of Danaher and they no longer produce mechanics hand tools but now focus more on specialized automotive tools. From what I have head their USA tools are basically on bar with Craftsman of the same vintage and their foreign tools are essentially the same as modern Gearwrench.

Anyway thanks for posting up the deal, trust me I am sorry it is not KD tools too.
