I picked up this KR Wilson 75ton press last week. When I got it back to the shop and put it back together (had to be disassembled to fit through the previous owners door) It would not release pressure under load. After tearing down the pump and valve I found that it was missing a linkage that operates a ball check. Fabbed one up and it works like new. As I mention in a previous post the gauge was broken and not original. I took it off before these picks were taken.

The built-in arbor feature is great. You can get up to full pressure in seconds. Seems like the bed winch and pump are far superior than what you see today. Now I just need to find a gauge and paint.

KR Wilson made all the special dealership tools for Ford from Model T times through about 1948. I think they went out of business during the 1950's without the Ford contract...
I have a lot of their small tools and they are impressively strong and well designed solutions to all the specialized work on old Fords...I know a lot of their hydraulic presses are still in use, which is also pretty impressive.
