I recently purchased a KR Wilson Engine Stand. It's missing the knobs that go on the screws on the base. I've circled where the knobs should be in the picture below. Would anyone know where I could find replacements or be able to measure theirs so that I can purchase some that are as close to the original as possible?

Thanks!

I have some knobs off of some old sheet metal equipment that looks similar to what was on your engine stand. If you can't find anything lemme know. If they work you can have them for the cost of shipping.

d.mcfarland: Thank you for the information and links. Dan didn't have any knobs, but he did inform me the screws are acme thread. I've got to purchase a new screw because one was bent.

Very cool stand. Can you post more pics?

Finally finished the engine stand. I built a head to fit the engines I work on most. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Oh that turned out nice. I sure hope you're not planning on using it for a V8.

The main engine going on it is a small V6, however there are plans of having a GM LS engine on it occasionally. What's wrong with having a V8 on it?

Thank you by the way.

Well unless the dimensions of the base length are deceiving the block is too long. With the block extending well beyond the length it'll tip forward unless that base weighs more then a loaded block.

That stand BTW for V8 application was intended to have the block attached sideways verses extended straight out like you normally see with a modern engine.

Thank you very much for the heads up.

If anybody can get an LS engine to tip on a KR Wilson engine stand I'll personally drive there and replace it. If a Harbor Freight engine stand can hold one, I'm positive that a stand built for engines twice it's weight can hold it. No offense LX, and yes I understand the sideways orientation point you make.
