Trying to get the slides out of my KR7100 to clean them, but having a ***** of a time with it. Front of the drawers are held in by a small phillips screw, but the slides are held in the box by what looks like a 1/4" bolt. Problem is that I can't get a socket in there no matter what... is there some other way to get to it or something that I'm missing????:dunno:

Those slides are the bayonet type with the bayonets that hook into the square cutouts in the sheet metal of the box. The rear bayonets face rearward while the front bayonets face downward. You unhook the front bayonets first and then unhook the rear bayonets.

I forgot to mention that you access the screw holding the slide to the box by extending the slide out until the square window in the slide lines up with the screw going into the box. You can see the square window of the slide in the image I posted above.

Extend the slide all the way out and then poke your 1/4'' nutdriver through that window to get to the screw holding the slide to the inner wall of the box. After you get that screw out, then you can start unhooking your bayonets.

That's exactly it, but I just couldn't get any skinny walled socket in there... then I took a mallet and knocked it about 1/32" up and out she came.

Thanks for your help!!
