I have been considering selling my rollabench in the hopes of replacing it with a taco cart. I've had a couple of people offer to buy just the light and handle off of the unit. One person has made an offer and a few others have asked about parting the unit out. I really would prefer to keep it together, but what would the lamp on a KRA-300 be worth? Would removing the lamp hinder my chances of selling the box?

It is the same sort of lamp as this one: https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/1955-krh-300b-snap-rolla-bench-tool-138720452

Thank you for your help.

Looks like a nice one. A similar one has been languishing here on cl for 900, but no lamp.

Like anything else, condition is everything. There is a rollabench on the local marketplace here for 500 bucks. It's been there for over a year.

Do you have any pictures of yours?

There are KRA300-series rollers out there, but few true Roll-a-Bench with light and plug-ins. I've one of the basic units with the aluminum tambour; it's down so seldom I forget it's there.

And I also vote against ever parting out a complete unit. The destruction of the integrity of an old classic tool for only a few dollars gain is not my thing.

Of course parting one to complete and save 5 others is a good thing.
But, then you are dealing with multiple sales/headaches.

Pics of the machine would be awesome.

Thank you all for your feedback. Attached are two photos of my box. I do have the outlets an plug as well. It just isn’t attached anymore as the box has had a very hard life.

The K60 makes up for the lack of a light! Beautiful. I had considered doing something similar but bought a complete kra-503a without woodgraining.

I would leave that exactly as it is. With some elbow grease, it could be cleaned up pretty nicely.

I had thought about restoring it long ago. However, the wheels have chunks out of them, one of the draw slides has failed, and the roll down door is finicky. I like it, but I do like the idea of a Taco box with its longer length and better availability of parts.

Maybe I should consider fixing what I have.
