KRA 3800/3810 Questions

I bought this KRA 3800/3810 combo off Facebook Marketplace for $800 about 10 days ago and just now getting time to clean it out. I've removed all drawers and the ridiculous stickers everywhere, and getting ready to compound, polish, wax. See first pic for reference.

The lower cabinet, KRA 3800, has a side handle that I cannot figure out how to remove. I've taken the rubber bumpers off the edges of the handle to see what looks like 4 flathead screws, (2 on each side), inside the handle, but I'm having a hell of a time trying to figure out how to access them. I was on the phone with Snap-on for quite a while yesterday and the lady I spoke to couldn't offer any insights. Is there a special tool for accessing those screws? There's no access from the inside of the cabinet either, just fyi. Second pic shows the area in question.

The 3rd pic shows what I uncovered after removing that drawer, which looks to be part of the drawer guide for the friction slider which is clearly torn away from the cabinet. The piece is bent all to hell and doesn't look like an easy repair, at least for me. How could I go about fixing this if I don't weld? Although I'm not proud to admit it, welding is one of those skills I've never tried, so it isn't an option as far as the repair. I've got proper touch-up paint coming, so if there's a way to remove the broken part, I could install some other piece and paint it first, but I have no idea how to go about attaching it, since the broken part is essentially the end of a folded piece of metal. You can also see this in the 1st pic, (upper cabinet, right bay, left side).

Any advice is welcome and appreciatedIMG-1463.jpg

. I'm taking pics of the process and will probably make a separate post when done to show before and afters.

Take a rubber mallet and carefully tap from the side. See if it moves. If you look at your second picture, you can trace the side which slides out if you start with the left part of it. once the top part (left part in this picture orientation) covering the screws slides off, you get the access

Genius! Can't believe I didn't see that. Thank you.

I have one of these 30 year old units, now well loaded.

I like the numerous thin drawers.

Can you contact the SO man to offer an opinion regarding removal and replacement of the rail?

Is the drawer also damaged?

Page #24 of the 1993 Catalog, you might find parts listed on the SO online Catalog.

I contacted Snap-on regarding a replacement guide to sport weld on my busted tool box. They did not have them forsale, but I would contact your snap-on driver as Humber2 suggested though.

I drilled the spot welds out of one of my damaged drawer and cabinet slides and used roller bearing drawer slides from Lowe's. I'll snap some pictures here in a bit and post them.
