KRA-53 date code

Is it possible that a Snap On KRA-53 would not have a KRA code stamped on the back? I just bought what looks to be a 53. I cannot see any stamping on back side.

That box has a date code for sure. Look on the lower back. Use a flashlight and cast shadows because sometimes they are very hard to see.

That said, if I had to guess, I'd say your box is early 60s.

Those syle drawers started around 1960, that emblem up to late 60s.

This was very lightly stamped on the right side of the box.
Is there a source to order a replacement lock?
