I’m sure this topic has been covered before but I can’t find an answer to my question. I am based in mainland Europe and we don’t have the tool trucks doing the rounds here from any of the manufacturers. So I recently went online and bought a new Kra4107FPBO single bank, I have no complaints about the box or delivery service and definitely no complaints about the price which was very cheap imo. The label on the back says Algona Iowa but it doesn’t actually say it was made there or anywhere else, the drawer slides also are without a coo. My question is are these chests made in the USA and shipped to Europe or made elsewhere? I cannot complain about the quality of the chest, as KRA’s go you get what you pay for.

From what I understand they are made in the USA unless otherwise stated. No idea why Snap On stopped putting "made in" on those labels.

I had a KRSC430 briefly purchased directly from my dealer on the truck, and it had the same label.

I hope you will not mind me asking, because around my area i would have to sell my children, plus give, the seller season tickets to all the Ohio state games, sell all my blood, and give them my car keys, in order to buy those boxes. What is cheap to you? :dunno::dunno:

Sell it and buy an Epiq. It's only 17% interest. Front loaded.

Make sure they use the correct tag tho.

Wild Guess: The "box" is made in Iowa.

The drawer sliders are imported. They used to have "Accuride" stamped into them, but the replacements I got for my KR1000 do not.

Interesting. I will have to talk with my dealer next time I see him. That could definitely explain the sticker change.

I believe that is why Mac and Craftsman have "made with global materials" on their boxes and why Kennedy doesn't have a Made in USA sticker anywhere on their newer boxes. The slides and casters are imported while the boxes are made in the US.

Algona Iowa. That's where nearly all snap on boxes are made, aside from some production for Australia and South Africa IIRC? I believe snap on does sell a chinese box in those markets, which makes quite the stir when the labels are posted.

€995 plus taxes and as a business you claim the taxes back every 3 months.
