I am currently looking to purchase a road chest. Does anyone use a snap on road chest and do you leave it outside 24/7.

I have the older kra62c road box. I love the box and it's built like a tank. I don't think the 6210 isn't much more sealed up then my 62 so I honest wouldn't want it to sit outside 24/7. I'd rather have a service body on the truck that it can be normally stored in. To me the catch 22 with a SO road box is its a very expensive box to get beat up on the road.

For what they cost I would want some sort of custom cover or tarp made for it if it stayed out 24/7. I have a older snap on box can't remember the the model number off hand, has a front lid and cover to cover the drawers and I leave it in the back of my older truck while we are busy farming and take it back out when we are caught up. I had my wife sew my a cover out of a old canvas tarp to keep it covered till we have to get into it. Works pretty well.

Unfortunately I work off a flat bed dodge as my service truck. I cant justify asking for a service body at this point since 99% of the time I'm at the shop just out in the yard. Any recommendations on setting up a tool box on my truck that can be left out. The snap on water proof box just isn't enough for me
