Kraeuter 156-10

I have this pair of Kraeuter pliers that have been in my box forever. Nice pair of pliers but I've never been able to find any info as to their age or the reason for the hole located in one of the jaws. Anyone out there have any knowledge on this piece.

I don't think so, the opposite jaw never passes over the hole.
