Kraeuter swap meet wrenches...

Guy at the local flea market had a PILE of identical new Kraeuter metric combo sets in original poly zip-top bags. I think 7 in the set (?) he wanted $10 each set. The wrenches were a pebbly sort of satin, not smooth chrome. But all were marked 'made in USA'.

I didn't buy any, as I'd just snagged a Baldor motor and it had tapped me dry (I only go to the market with $20, for the sake of self discipline).

I was wondering if the Kraeuters would be interesting to the GJ set, so I'm asking. I'd have to add shipment costs on top of that, if I find any next trip. Not taking any "orders" at this time, and your interest is NOT a promise to buy (because they may be all gone next time I go back, or I may have misremembered the number per bag, etc).

Just curious if I should snag several of these for the GJ crowd if I see the chance. I'd have to take a couple more bills!

I'd be very interested in a set if they have any next time you go.

Ninja edit on the title...lol.

Well, yeah. I decided I'd be potentially accusing the innocent if I left the title "fall off the truck Kraeuter wrenches." See, this swap meet is close to the Long Beach harbor, and I'm always suspicious when I see piles of identical new items, that they are items that "fell off the truck" by "accident" on the way from the docks to the warehouse...

...if you catch my drift.

Gotcha. I've seen some of those types of sales as well.

What sizes are the wrenches? I am looking for a metric set, something like 10-19 with no skips.

Hi, I an not interested in the wrenches, but if you see any Kraeuter ratchets, breaker bars or sockets I would be interested. (Although I do not want any stolen tools, darn one day they could be mine up for sale, not good if you know what I mean).

Thanks Woody.

Well Woody, there is just no way of knowing at a swap meet. Zero. If you want to ride the high white moral horse, and be absolutely certain, better buy all your stuff new at the store.

i've got 4 sockets that i've had for sale for a $1 with no bites. http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=975034&postcount=19

Obviously complete sets are always easier to sell and worth more, but thats still not a name you hear on a regular basis, even around here.

I returned to the same swap meet today and they were nowhere to be found. There were so many, however, I suspect they'll turn up again.
