I have the 1047 tool set from Kraftwerk. Of course it's not Snap-On, but it's really good value for your money, especially the Junior line. Most tools from the Junior line have a lifetime warranty, but some tools have a warranty of two years. I think the quality is just a little bit less than Beta. I will upload some photos from the 1047 I got.
En ja, ik spreek ook Nederlands :p

Hallo Hako86, alweer ene Hollander, tis nog druk hier ;)

Nice set the 1047 set, you really can not compare these brands with Snap-On.
I think Snap-On is a league on its own, when I started this thread I was wondering exactly what you mentioned, if it was good value for your money.
I think by now I can tell that it really is, certainly for what I am going to use it for.
Thanks for your reply and looking forward to the pics of your tool set.

The only thing I do not like about some of the complete sets are the pliers they come with. Wiha, Knipex and NWS are the rout to go with pliers. Allot of the German brands have rebadged NWS for their pliers. Now Hazet has some nice pliers when you get a complete set.

Screwdrivers. I like the felo, wiha, witte and wera and PB Swiss. This is something the European makers does better then Snap On. Ratchets the US makers does a bit better job. Also pliers.

Taiwan makes excellent ratchets and sockets. But pliers are not at the level or European and US makers.

Don't forget to mention Channellock pliers :) I like those very much.
I also like the snap on instinct handle screwdrivers. I also have some wiha, older felo and some older pb swiss. Wera looks very well made, but unfortunately I don't own one.

Channellock are a good second tier compare to the European designs. I have a bunch of CL but they are not in the same league as the NWS, Wiha and Knipex. Channellock are good tools for someone looking keep cost at a minimal.

I agree... I buy Channellock because they cost about 1/3 of NWS & Knipex. If I had the $$$ I would buy all Knipex & NWS.

If you go with a cobra or the nws version. You will never use your channellocks again. They grip so much better then the channel locks. My channel locks are relegated to doing really dirty and grimy work now.

Do you need to buy all the tool at once? I bought a empty wurth with 7 drawers for 300 euros! Top quality! Have fill it up under a year or so and now its full with top quality tools! stahlwille, gedore, snap on,facom, wurth zebra etc!

Yes, actually I'm thinking about that idea too.
There is a lot to learn from the guys over here in this board.
I think shoturtle really knows a lot about all kinds and brands of tools

The case with tools pictured above is on sale for around 300 Euros.
Not sure if they are the Kraftwerk tools which are made-in-Taiwan or not.

I have not been able to find any other hand-held cases from other European tool manufacturers in such a low price range, so I guess they are not made in Germany. :(

How would you rate Kraftwerk compared to Facom, Beta or Snap-on? In the same league?

Ofcourse not Snap-on, but you get really good value for your Money ;) I think the best brands in the world are Snap-on, Hazet, Stahlwille... But I would rate Kraftwerk at about the same level as Gearwrench and Beta. (some Kraftwerk ratcheting wrenches are even made by Gearwrench I believe). And ofcourse you get a life time warranty ;)

Thanks.

I was in France recently and I expected to see Facom everywhere, but a lot of specialty tool shops are selling Beta and Kraftwerk. Cheaper I guess.

Thanks man,
never heard of Force tools but they sure look nice and affordable :).
I downloaded the Kraftwerk tool catalogue from their website so I have every info on that stuff, but hey thanks for your effort
As said before I'm getting deeper and deeper in the jungle, the problem is they are all nice tools.
I still have a very small preference for Kraftwerk, but only very small :dunno: why?
Force is OK.. Just OK, and not up to par with Jonnesway. It's also far more expensive.
I've also begun adding some SATA stuff to my kit.

Just sent for these. Gear Wrench tooling but $20 cheaper for the set.
