Anyone use this "system" with their work/project table? How do you like it? Worth $899 in your opinion as opposed to about half that for table saw or twice the price for a Sawstop portable?

I've never used one. I only know that a good table saw with some knowledge and experience have immense versatility.

It's their version of festool mft, if you want to look up use cases.

A track saw can be very useful, and safe. With the right setup, a table saw can almost be replaced. Really depends on what kind of woodworking you do. All sheet goods? If will work great. Rough/dimensional lumber? You won't replace a table saw.

I am tight on space and have chosen to have a job site table saw (dewalt 7491rs), a circular saw with guide and a miter saw on a mobile base

I did a ton of research into track saws prior to springing (on a great craigslist deal from a guy closing a shop) on a Festool TS55 a few months ago.

I recently (2 weeks ago) took the plunge on a MFT3 along w/ a pair of leg braces after going back and forth about stanton bench options (couldn't find someone to CNC route for me) AND realizing that as I do not have a table saw (by design/choice) nor an assembly table in the garage- only a 20" x 5' bench in the shed/shop - that I really couldn't replace the MFT for overall value (side clamping, leveling legs, DURABILITY, well thought out and well designed/executed protractor fence, etc).

After using it quite a bit over the last few days I "get" why the TS55/MFT3 table is worth every penny - for MY use case.

I like Kreg stuff- but never got the festool thing until I started using it, it would be really hard to sway me another direction now.

Value wise though this looks interesting.

My track saw instead of table saw decision was based on safety- I'm fairly terrified of table saws and figured I can do most of what I'd want to do without one.

I've been ogling the Dewalt flexvolt tracksaw. When I'm in my own garage I use the table saw, but taking it with me, or not having to reset the table saw, or being able to break stuff down in the hardware store parking lot has the cordless at the top of my Christmas list.
