Kreg Adaptive Cutting System?

Any early thoughts on Kregs new cutting systems? Looks pretty complete and well thought out design as I have found most of Kreg's products so far. A little pricey

When you put it that way I agree about the cost.

Looks like they have gone with the track saw blade style others use - 20mm bore. Kind of a pain to not have swap capability with other circular saws (thinking 7-1/4"). Oh well.

I had trouble finding specs. Special order blades isn't cool

I know Chris Salomone has been playing with one on the DL for a while and he seems to like it. I've been looking at the green machines and their MFT/3 but price has held me back. This is drastically cheaper.

I have never gotten the 'quality' vibe from anything in the Kreg lineup but I'll be eyeballing this when it hits a retail store.

Looks like they are going after the Festool saw & table combo, for about half the price.

I'm building a new house & shop, with a dedicated woodshop space. I have a decent tablesaw for it, but still considering a track saw. I'll keep an eye on this.

It wont totally replace a miter saw. Still need one for trim work.

The one bad thing with this from a quick read of the specs is it only has a 62" capacity. So if you need to cut something longer/wider, it really wont work.

Honestly, its just an overpriced folding table with holes in it, a track saw guide and a specialty saw.

Better off buying the Accu-cut XL where you can use your existing circ saw for about $160

And then spend a few more bucks on a table or sawhorses and plywood.

Seems I saw there was an extension you could get for the track but looking now I don't see it. Wouldn't work on the table though.

Going to keep my eye on this, the portability/stowage is a big deal for my limited shop.

But there’s that compromise when stored..........have to make two cuts and getting the thing out and step is rarely worth the effort............so you just make two less than perfect hand held cuts and move on.

It does but a lot cheaper. So far I have been impressed with Kreg for my homeowner type uses. Not sure if that might differ if I made my living with the tools
