I purchased a Kreg foreman about a month ago, Iv had issues with the clamping mechanism not providing constant clamping pressure between 3/4 stock. I was at my wits end and about to trash this machine when my father stopped by, well we figured it out! I was missing a white plastic piece that supports the hinge on the table. With out it every time I engaged the clamp the table would go down about 3/16 or so and not allow proper clamping pressure. So I called Kregs wonderful customer service and they sent me out a new unit. I was grateful but after inspection the new unit had table deflection again this time about 1/16 or a 1/8 of a inch. Knowing that this clamp did not have much travel I believed that it would cause a issue again. So my father who is a engineer 3d printed a oversized hinge doohickey and all is right with the world! Zero play the table remains complainer while clamping. I wanted to share this as it was a frustrating and could help some one else.
