Not sure if this would be considered a Hot Deal, but it is to me so I figured I would share it. Heck of a price on this box of hardware. I'll be picking up three when I get my taxes back...Hopefully before the 11th :D

Any woodworkers out there with a Kreg System will appreciate this one.

Great deal, but realize there are two Toolboxx's, the "Master" and that one. The Master has room for the micro jig, HD jig, regular jig, etc... and the kit comes with all of them. The regular one that you've pictured does not.

It appears the Master collection is NLA, but you can still buy the box alone from Grizzly:

I bought the first one from Lowes on the BF deal when it came with the jig, despite owning the $99 jig kit... then realized I should have bought the Master. Returned it and got the Master for $100 off at Woodcraft for BF.

Just my .02. Kinyocase's link is still a great deal if you just need the screws and case for your single Kreg.

Home Depot has the same box as the OP linked to but it is branded as Stanley for $20 right now. Are all those screws worth $30?

Thanks for pointing out they are on sale, Ive been wanting to pick up the bigger one to store my K3MS. Kreg's hard case just seems to be one of the least efficient ways to store everything.

I bought the Husky version last year. It's EXACTLY the same box as the Kreg, except for the color and name on the front.

Sweet! Good to see that there are other Versions. Thanks for the Tips guys. I wasn't aware of that. The Kreg brand screws do seem to be a bit on the expensive side, so it may be a decent deal after all for the shallow kreg box. I'll have to take a few moments after work today and calculate up the price for all those screws to see if it's truly worth it for me.

Rockler sells a Kreg 675-Pc. Screw Kit for $30, occasionally on sale. Amazon peddles same kit for $24. They are nice self tapping screws.

I couldn't fathom having Robertson screws and having to adopt another set of tools for fasteners, so I got the Screw Products pocket screws, that are all Torx headed.

Cheaper too, $20-some for 5 lbs (should be 1200+ screws).

I mainly only work in 3/4" ply though, so I don't have much of a need for variety.

Best way to answer that is, Lowe's sells boxes of coarse & fine (I think 1" but might be longer, 1-3/16" sounds right maybe?) 500 screws for $19.99

The box itself is nothing special. Keter makes them branded Stanley, JCB, Kreg, and Husky that I know of. Not a bad box if you need that style but honestly, nothing to get excited over.

Kreg thinks their hardware is worth a lot of money, that's where the real deal is.

Also ishiboo, I remember that Lowe's BF deal and I own one. I bought the HD separately and have no issue now for the micro. Your photo shows the K5, where you don't have to reach around the work piece to clamp & unclamp it. Is that the one you have? The one from the Lowe's kit is the K4, where the clamp handle is on the opposite end. I do not remember which one was included in the Woodcraft kit however I do know they carried both K4 & K5 at the time.

Based on your description it sounds like you would have one of each. If so, has the handle placement affected your use of it at all?

I don't see it mentioned but there are made by Keter and are rebadged under many different names. It looks like Northern tool and many other places sell them in different color combos too.

EDIT: Cheechi beat me to it.

While we're discussing kreg.. Best deal on the k4 master kit? New to woodworking, don't have much space and seems very effective for joining. It's about 139 most places. Zoro doesn't seem to carry it.

The K4MS is currently $114 at Amazon, although it's been as cheap as $99 at times.

Thanks OP, just ordered the Toolboxx from Grizzly. Missed the $114 Amazon price on the master kit though, it's back up to $139 now.

yeah I use my kreg jig all the time but stopped buying their screws when they went to silver from black. Silver shows up to easy to use in stained cabinet interiors etc where as black does not show at all if the pocket hole is stained.

What screws do you use now?

2 summers ago Lowes was clearing out their Kreg Toolboxx line and some stores still had a few of the fully loaded box (the bigger model box + screws + K4MS) down to $100 or so after coupons.

I found one but couldnt justify buying it since they went to the front mount clamp on the K4, I prefer the rear mount clamp on my K3.
