I just acquired a box, no label on the back but its a close relative to a KRL756. It has a factory cut window in the face where the logo usually is for a now removed control box. Looking online it appears its similar to an "alpha box", this is for inventory control, key fob unlocking etc. This box does not have any of the dot strips in the drawers so I am not sure if they were removed or its just an earlier version? I dont see a solenoid or anything on the tubular lock, so I am not sure how it unlocks? There is not a lot of info online about these boxes, it appears everything is custom built.
There is some sort of cabling left over which runs to from the now removed front panel to the exterior of the box and to two modules under the bottom drawer. This leads us to the next question. I went to pull the drawer, the right side has the finger loop release, the left side has nothing. Am I missing something or is this some sort of tamper resistance for getting to the modules? How do I get the drawer out?

I got the bottom drawer out. The left slide had to be detached from the drawer while the right one has the release mechanism. A traditional KRL has the drawer releases on both sides doesn't it?
Anyway, here is the battery box and the locking module. Cool stuff, I wish I had all the components.
