Making small talk with my Snappy guy today over a repo'd box that he had. I made it known that I eventually wanted to step into a KRL722 in Electric Orange. He kind of looked at me strange, then told me he had a KRL722 in red that I could have for $3k, brand spanking new. Turns out it was the box I was leaning on while talking to him... lol. Seems like a decent deal since they are $5495 on the SO web site.

Is it a good deal, and how does SO credit work? He said it'd be about $35 a week... is it possible to get the credit from SO and pay it off faster in order to avoid some of the interest, or is the interest set at the time of purchase?

The box will be for home use and will probably be the last box I ever purchase. Thank you!

You can pay off Snap-on credit early and save on interest. You only pay interest on the amount you owe for the time that you owe it. $2995 is the best deal that I have seen on a new KRL722 for awhile.

If the dealer extends you his own truck credit, that's supposed to be zero interest. You just pay the $35/week and that's it.

No dealer in his right mind is going to sell a $3000 tool box on a truck account for $35 a week.

I figured as much. I'm very close to pulling the trigger... I guess I could live with red. Not sure why I like the Electric Orange so much... I guess its like those guys on the board with their green boxes... beauty is in the eye of the beholder. :)

most guys choose a lower payment and pay more to get it done earlier. no fees and less interest is the way to go.
2995 is a great deal on that box. like chad said best deal we have seen.
krl is the best we make. ENJOY

My Snap On credit is as follows....
My previous KRA4813 roll cab; $2300 New
My current Classic78 w/ polished drawer guards; $4650 New
$2000 towards trade-in, so Classic78 now at $2650+ tax, fees, etc.
19.8% interest for 260 weeks :spit:= $17 and some change per week.

Low payments are nice, but please, take some konwn advice and spend it wisely.
not knocking a KRL at all either. It's even worse though if you have a douchebag dealer that doesn't show up. And fyi, you can mail payments to S/O's credit dept if need be, but be aware..they WILL NOT return any kind of receipt or invoice. That is rediculous IMO.
The best deal, if your dealer gets his perks, is to see if he has the 9.99% rate open to any buyers. That's how I initially strung into gettig a this box. But, it does run out early. You can't stretch the 9.99% out more than two years I believe, so I had to pull it out a lot longer due to the current financial situation I was in.
Be very careful is all I'm getting at.

i got a flier in the mail the other day that shows snap on has some decent give away items for purchases over $3000. Not sure if there is info on the snap on site or not. I'm sure that will help you make your decision.

Not to sidetrack the thread to much, but this is why I'm a fan of truck-brand boxes over Craftsman, HF, Costco, etc.

I'm not sure how long you had your KRA and I'll assume it was in mint condition, but only losing $300 in trade towards a new box? That's a steal. Ask Sears or HF to do that...

As far as the interest rate goes, yeah, that *****. That's why I don't buy until I have the cash in hand to pay it off immediately. Unless someone is giving away 0% interest. At that point, I'll be glad to use someone else's money for whatever the term is and gain a few bucks thanks to inflation. I "financed" 4k (2 plasma's) from Best Buy for 36 months (!!!) @ 0%. Yes pleae.

Pulled the trigger tonight on the KRL722 in candy apple red. Couldn't find a dealer in Houston with one in electric orange... My dealer is getting it from another dealer on Monday, so I will have it Monday night or Tuesday morning. I'm so excited that I couldn't wait to post. I had to show some restraint though with the amount of credit that Snap On approved me for... damn.:eek:

Anyways, pics to follow upon delivery!

Chadster (and others) Is the Electric Orange proving to be a popular color ?? (or not in your area, because you dont choose to hget behind it.

I'm interested in putting my excellent KRL1022 with Stainless Top and Marguards on the market. What might be average to good truck price for KRL1022 so as I can price my used one..............

Absolutely true. I bought a Verus and a Solus pro On Snap on EC and payed it off about three months early. Snap-On refunded 100% of the interest after so I got it for the cash value. And they did that on their own, I just got two Checks in the mail. I was so surprised, I called to find out what was up (after I got the second one).....
