I a man getting rid of a KRL1001 that I need a ballpark value on to set my initial asking price. The box went through a fire. The prior owner cleaned, repainted it, and put new liners in. The only oddball deal is that the big bottom narrow drawer has been replaced with what amounts to a small cabinet. The drawer was apparently messed up, so the prior owner built a hinged door in its place that looks just like a factory drawer - it has the drawer pull trim and everything.

Thoughts on where I should start my asking price?

Price seems to be a regional thing, but in Tampa I bought a Krl1001 about 6 months ago for $1075 delivered.

Its in really good shape, needed cleaned, lubed and new liners, but that's about it, came with a key and working locks even.

Granted that's a good deal and I had to watch Craigslist for some time to find it.

Generally the price I see around here for an older box of that size and in decent shape is more like $2000-$2500 or so. Figure you can get it for $500 less than asking price.

Would need to see a photo of the box you are selling, to give a reasonable estimate for it.

Around here a kr660b is worth about $750 - $1000 in decent shape, maybe $1500 for really nice. $500 ish for a little rough but complete and functional.

Once again, prices seem regional, and without seeing the box in question its pretty much impossible to guess.
