Hey guys,
I am picking up a KRL1022 on Monday and am looking for help in organization ideas. I currently have a Homak H2Pro, 55" top and bottom. I have consolidated most of my tools to the bottom side because I'm 5'4" and let's be honest it gets old having to jump to close my top lid and I can't get into the top box with the top lid down. It seems that the 1022 is about 7" deeper and about 4" taller than my current bottom box.

I am also torn on the idea of a hutch and locker eventually. I like the thought of a top box since it adds a great deal of storage and you can unlock the drawers and keep the top closed. Though I really like that the hutch gives me a good work center and place to store tools if in a rush at the end of the day.

I love my hutch. Snap on makes quite a few accessories that allow you to save on drawer space. On my hutch wall I have all my ratchets, extensions, screwdrivers, 1/4drive sockets and a couple of hooks for drills and a cordless charger shelf

I have the KRL 1022 with end cabinets on each side. One cabinet has shelves while the other has enclosed drawers. I really like the cabinet with the drawers. I have made a butcher block top that spans the width of all 3 cabinets and use it for work space. Like you I'm a bit vertically challenged at a staggering 5'6". I have not had a top chest for nearly 20 years because I to was tired of the freakin challenge

Nice! I really like the idea of a hutch, though with the toolbox purchase a hutch will be in the future not right now. Any pictures?

Can I get a picture of your setup? I think it sounds awesome! I plan to eventually put a hutch, locker and end set of drawers on as my tool inventory grows. Plus I am a fan of the idea of having a good box that I would be able to pass onto my son if he decides to go into the mechanic trade.

I've put box on here before, but what's another time. My box is at home now so I don't try to fit everything in there anymore so many tools are not pictured.
