I have one.
My thoughts: Buying used or new? Don't pay list price for new.
For DIY or daily pro use? Great for either, but overkill for most DIY'ers. If you get it used on a good deal, then even better for either use. I have seen prices of ones being bought used for a lot less than what my dealer is giving as trade in value on mine.
The only thing I really hate about mine is that you need 2 people to move it. :lol_hitti

My only gripe is its too tall to use the top as a work surface. I would have preferred the 7022, but those are really rare on the used market where the 1022's are everywhere. Used was a prerequisite for me.

i have the 1023 and love it it is a bit tall but i dont use the top to do any thing major just fine small wire jobs or delicate stuff that i dont want to bend over a lot to work on i did have to add 3 inches to my stool so i can use pc comfortabley when looking up parts

I have a 1022 and it does everything I want it to. I'm a stumpy little ****** at 5' 7" and don't understand why everybody says it is too tall. Personally I think the 7000 seires are the most useless boxes there are with a total lack of deep drawers.

I think you mean 700 series. The 7000 is as deep as the 1000 series.

The 1022 has 1 row of 4" drawers more than the 7022. I prefer the 7022 because I like the lower overall box height. Some day I will need more space and wish I had the 1022

I thought he was talking deep like 29" vs. 24" deep not tall. My fault.
