Anybody know if there are any 4" and 6" Drawers available from SO which would fit the 722B's narrow Bank?
I'm not a fan of the 10" Deep drawer at all...cant think of anything to go in it so I'd like to replace it with a 4" and 6"
Thanks!

Also, any way to decode what's what on the crappy SO parts site? Which drawer trim will I need...etc..

The KRL722 was the replacement for the KRL761 and IIRC, they're the same width and have the same drawer widths. The part numbers on the 722 drawers are the same as corresponding drawers on the 716 so I'd say they're the same. There wasn't a 6" but there was a 4" drawer in the narrow bank of the 761 so maybe there's a way to put 2 4" drawers and a 2" drawer in place of the deep drawer. part number for the 4"drawer is 761JL72. Hope this helps!

4" and 6" should be available. There was a triple bank version of the 761 for a couple of years so they did make a 6" drawer at least for a while.

You guys gave me an idea...and I ran with it...Just looked it up, appears the KRL711A End Cab has the exact same drawers as the 722B Base...and on that end cab are 4" and 6" Drawers:
Gloss Black 4" = 761JL72PC
Gloss Black 6" = 761JL73PC

While on the subject of drawers, I haven't even put a tool in my 722 yet, was thinking on my way into work today that I should load er up slide wise...is doing the double slides on all the drawers worth it?

I doubled up all the slides on my KRL7002 and I love it. It's definitely worth it on the deeper drawers. The only drawer I didn't do was the single bay 4" drawer because that drawer will never see anywhere near 200lbs and of course the 2" drawers only take one set. It really depends what you plan to put in the drawer though. Each pair is rated to something like 230lbs so it's probably not necessary on most drawers. It's too bad you don't have a deeper box I have 4 sets of the 26.75" HD slides left over I'd let go cheap. SO wants like 70 a set so it can get very pricey doubling up every drawer.

Sounds like I'll be ordering slides too soon...As for the drawers, only variable left is if I can find some of the Gunmetal Gray Chrome (whatever you call the trim color on my box) trim pieces...if I can get some, then I'll be ordering new drawers...if I cant get em, well, i'll probably wait till my MAC Guy gives me a good trade in on this box towards the custom MB1860 I had spec'ed out with him.. :lol_hitti

That Gunmetal Gray Chrome trim blows the whole deal. You'll never get replacement drawers with that special trim.

Kinda what I was thinking as well...
I figured I'd ask my guy when I see him Friday for the hell of it, JUST In case there's some...its still a recent box....Costs me nothing to ask...but I really never had my hopes up.
Could always have the pulls Anodized another color...or just change the whole thing to chrome. :dunno:

See boys & girls...this is why special editions ****.. If I tell my wife i'm gonna trade it in on the box I really wanted...she will shoot me..

One thing I've noticed about Snap-on drawer part numbers - in most cases the last digit before the letters denoting the colour is half the nominal height in inches. So the 761JL72PC will be 4" high and 761JL77PC would be a 14" drawer if such a thing existed. If you search Snap-on's website, the numbers 1-6 in the bold position all are available, or at least in the catalog.

You're better off finding something big and bulky to store in that 10 inch drawer and call it good.

I don't think double slides are needed 99% of the time. My puller,3/4", big wrenches, everything eles I jam in it drawer opens and closes just fine with the single slides

I have a 722 and use that drawer to hold a bunch of stuff in cases. Balancer remover/installer, mityvac, thread restore kit, etc.

I know what you mean, I got a couple drawers in my cabinets devoted to my cased tools...not shown is another cabinet in the other corner which I haven't decided what to do with yet...this is the reason I haven't even moved into my 722 yet.. Its nice having space and tons of storage. The narrow dark gray one by the KRL is my "power tool" Cabinet...the 2 light gray ones side by side are/were my toolboxes...Seeing as how I have a glut of 5"-6" drawers, having a toolbox devoted to 2" and 4" drawers would have been ideal..

I'm thinking a welding hood might fit in that 10 inch drawer.

Either that or a worm drive Skilsaw.

Just got off the phone with SO... no problem on the trim, PLENTY of that trim available, plenty of stock available, they have entire kits of it to convert a box over to that trim if you wanted too....She gave me all the PN's for all the trim on my box...
SOOO...now I will sleep on whether or not I want to pull the trigger on the drawer change out...For the hell of it I'm gonna order up some spare trim, so down the road I can if I need/want too...
