I have been looking for a used KRL722. I have seen them go for around 2500-3500 here in central Texas. Might have an opportunity for one at 2k with a SS top. It seems like a good deal, but not a steal. What are you all seeing in your areas for price and do you think 2k is a good price?

I bought mine a couple months ago for $3000 canadian (about $2700-2800 US) un-used and still strapped in the shipping box. If the one you're looking at is mint and in a color you like, I'd say it's a pretty good deal, especially since the ss top for those is over $600.

Western New York. Missed one this summer with stainless steel top for $2300. Another came and went this week for $1800 without the top.

I've seen them go anywhere from $1600-$2200 without the ss top here in Socal, so yeah $2k with the top is fair.

Last one I sold for $1,600. That was in very good condition. A lot depends on what's around locally, and how motivated a seller is. When I look to buy one of these, if it's $2,500 to $3,000, it better be filled with tools.

Look on eBay at completed listings, and see what they actually sell for in your area.

$2,000 with a SS top seems a little high, but not crazy, especially if it's in excellent condition. Make a lower offer and see what happens. Most people price things a bit high assuming people will want to knock them down a bit. This is a buyers' market right now.

On my local Craigslist there's a new KRL722 for $2100 (no ss top) The top would add $200-300 in my opinion. If the box is in great shape and has a ss top, 2k is a good deal.

I've got one here down to 2k. A month a go it was at 3k. I think i am going to go with it. Would love to get one cheaper, but I don't see many boxes go for cheaper...even the comparable Matco versions.

My opinion is that over the last 2 years there has been some really cheap prices due to the economy. We haven't see that as much in Texas as our economy hasn't been as bad.

Guess i need to do some research now on transport.

Is it difficult to push one up a trailer ramp? I think I might rent a trailer from Homedepot, just wondering how many guys I need to bring with me.

I'm new to GJ, but would greatly appreciate some input on snap on dealers. I've got a decent s/o set, and am not in the market for a s/o box. Thinking of something like the KRL 722. Since moving to Kansas City, I don't have a relationship with a local truck. Any recommendations on good guys in the Kansas City area? I was looking at used boxes, but if I can really get some of the "specials" like discussed in this post, I'd rather buy new.

Thanks,

Mike
